Friends of Mel is one of 30 finalists chosen from among breast cancer organizations throughout the country! From January 16 until May 15, we have the opportunity to receive $150,000 to help support our mission to fund cancer research, education and patient support.

Vote!

As part of the challenge we’ve created a short video about Friends of Mel, which appears on www.Pinkwell.org. The organization that receives the most votes will receive $50,000! Please visit www.pinkwell.org and vote for Friends of Mel's video! You may cast up to three votes each day using Facebook, Twitter and valid email addresses. Voting ends May 15th.

The Smith Foundation has another incredible opportunity for us! For every dollar donated to the Friends of Mel Foundation as part of the Pink Well Challenge, The Smith Foundation will match dollar for dollar up to $45,000. If Friends of Mel raises more money than the other 29 organizations, we will receive an additional $50,000!

Stowe Weekend of Hope

The Stowe Weekend of Hope, through a partnership of Vermont's medical community and Stowe's hospitality businesses, offers a healthy, inspirational retreat weekend for cancer survivors and their families. The Weekend of Hope is FREE and open to the public. Survivors of all types of cancer are welcome to attend. Lodging properties throughout Stowe offer free rooms to first time attendees and discounted rooms to returnees.

THE MORGAN CENTER

A portion of the donations received in exchange for Mel's Bracelet™ during the month of May will be gifted to The Morgan Center in Hicksville, New York. They are dedicated to providing preschool age children who are undergoing cancer treatment the opportunity to learn and socialize in a safe environment.
